6th X-Phi Conference in Cagliari
Attending and presenting Poster at the 6th European Experimental Philosophy Conference
The 6th edition of the X-Phi Conference took place in Cagliari last week. It was hosted by the University of Cagliari from the 8th to the 11th September.
I had the opportunity to present my research on the interspecies relationship between humans and animals in poster format. You can take a closer look at the poster on the right.
This research forms part of a larger project called The Animal Dilemmas Project, in which we investigate how people perceive non-human moral entities in the context of dilemma-based decision-making.
For this poster presentation, I developed a mobile-friendly model of the dilemma-based trials that participants undertook. You can find it here.
The organisation of the conference was very good. The organising committee was very attentive to the demands of the speakers and adjusted some time slots accordingly. Moreover, on our last day, we were able to enjoy a tour of the city.
Speaking of the city, I was not expecting it to be so mountainous. However, it certainly left its mark, as you can see in the picture. We also enjoyed some beautiful sunsets and good food.
Overall, it was great to share the progress of my projects with such a well-known circle of people who share my research interests. I’m looking forward to the 7th X-phi next year!
