Legal Interpretation and Moral Reasoning Workshop

From Wednesday, 5th to Friday, 7th of November 2025, we gathered at the University of Granada for the Workshop of Legal Interpretation and Moral Reasoning.

As one of the organisers, I couldn’t have been more pleased with how it turned out. Over these three days, the discussions were rich, the questions sharp, and the atmosphere genuinely collaborative. The workshop brought together 13 speakers from philosophy, law, and psychology who shared fascinating perspectives on the connections between legal interpretation, cognitive science, and moral reasoning. It was inspiring to see how each contribution opened new ways of thinking about how people make sense of rules, norms, and moral principles across different contexts.

Beyond the sessions themselves, we also enjoyed some wonderful moments together outside the workshop, sharing dinners, exploring Granada’s atmosphere, and even watching some fire performances. These moments made the event not only intellectually stimulating but also deeply human and memorable.

A huge thank you to all our speakers and to my fantastic co-organizers, Rosa López and Ivar Rodríguez Hannikainen, for making this such an nice experience!
