Vienna Summer School 2024
Stratégies numériques pour la formation doctorale en sciences humaines et sociales
Organised by UNIMED and the University of Vienna, this second summer school took place within the Erasmus+ project RAQMYAT (“Digital Strategies for Doctoral Training in the Humanities and Social Sciences”). It ran online from 17 to 20 September 2024 and continued in person in Vienna from 23 to 27 September 2024.
Throughout the week, we explored how digital tools and experimental methods can enrich research in the humanities. Workshops on data management, online collaboration, and digital analysis opened new ways of thinking about my own work. I realised how much philosophical research can benefit from engaging with digital humanities and psychology, especially when studying moral reasoning and human moral behaviour.
The group brought together researchers from across the Mediterranean and beyond, creating a lovely space for exchange and collaboration. Vienna, perhaps the most beautiful city I’ve been to, provided the perfect backdrop for such an inspiring week. Outside the sessions, sharing meals and discovering Vienna together made the experience even more rewarding. Those informal moments turned discussions into friendships and ideas into possible projects.
At the end of the week, I was honoured with the Best Research Poster Award, a recognition that reflected both the effort put into my project and the collaborative spirit that defined the entire week.
